Join us for a Fundraising Comedy Night for Wanstead High School PTA, headlined by the brilliant John Moloney – a seasoned comic best known for his sharp wit, intelligent humour, and dry delivery. A regular at London's Comedy Store for over 20 years, John has entertained audiences worldwide with his crafted, intelligent, and original routines . His accolades include being featured in Channel 4’s World’s 100 Greatest Stand-Ups and hosting his own BBC Radio 4 series, The John Moloney Show, which has been commissioned for multiple series.
Supporting John are three fantastic comedians, including Bilal Zafar, a rising star in British comedy and a proud former pupil of WHS. Bilal was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards and has been featured on BBC Radio 4, Sky News, and Channel 4, blending social commentary with pitch-perfect humour.
Keeping the night rolling is our hilarious MC,
Graeme Mathews, a
Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist known for his infectious energy and off-the-wall antics.
As well as parents, everyone is warmly welcome – friends, neighbours, and comedy lovers alike – to join us for this fantastic night of laughter and community spirit!
All proceeds go to the WHS PTA, helping to fund vital school projects and student initiatives.

Wanstead Comedy Night at Eton Manor RFC
Established in 2009, Wanstead Comedy Night has been bringing top stand up comedy (see gallery) to the Wanstead area for the last 15 years.
Originally hosted by Russell's Bar (now Otto's Restaurant),
Wanstead Comedy Night was resident at Bar Room Bar from 2011-13 (now Lullupo's Restaurant), Wanstead Golf Club from 2013-18 and
The Bull (formerly The Manor House) 2018-21.
Other hosts include Eton Manor Rugby Club, The Wanstead Tap, Aldersbrook Bowls Club, Christchurch Hall, Wanstead Cricket Club, Wanstead Rugby Club and Redbridge Drama Centre.
We have also helped organise fundraising comedy nights for
Nightingale Primary School PTA,
Friends of Redbridge Drama Centre, Wanstead High School PTA,
CHAOS Children's Holiday Charity and Wanstead Playground Association.
Wanstead Comedy Night is proud to have organised comedy events for every
Wanstead Fringe Festival (Est 2012).
